The Legend of the Unicorn Wizard

She never expected to wake up wrapped up in close to the wizard. In fact she never remembered falling asleep. She groaned softly as she tried to wake up and when he sat up, she slid off him, faceplanting into her bedroll before pushing back up, sniffing and rubbing the chill off her nose a little. She was still waking up when he spoke and she lifted her head, a soft, ‘huh?’ leaving her lips before rubbing her eyes again and speaking again, “mm…alright I suppose.” She said with a small teasing tone as she shivered, trying to get her body a little more warm before she finally got the energy to push up from the ground and stand, stretching.

"How about you Mr Wizard?" she chuckled, walking over to do a quick brush down of Sherlock, getting the small ice crystals off his pelt and mane before throwing the saddle over the thick blanket. It would make the ride warmer for him, but the way the saddle would sit, would press her back again, regardless of the angle of the mountain. It was a small price to pay to make sure the horse stayed warm.

She set one of the bags down on the ground, opening it and letting Sherlock eat before they took off for the day. “So we’re getting close?” she asked, turning to look at him as she threw her hood up over her hair and slipped into a pair of gloves so her hands. “Did you want a pair?” She offered, reaching into the bag. She had literally brought anything he might need, not knowing how long the trip would take. Even a change of clothes should he want it.

“I slept better than I ever had in centuries.”  He grinned gathering up his cloak once again enchanting it, and keeping himself nice and toasty, and shaking off anything else that may be unwelcome on his person and letting off a roaring yawn.  This whole endeavor worried him though, because he was beginning to suspect he would grow close to the Queen, which was a thought that worried him to no end.  Dan didn’t want to get close to another person in the way’s he had in the past, he didn’t want to be close just to watch them die.

“It was probably because I was in the company of the most beautiful thing on this mountain at the moment.”  He teased, and stretched himself out, cleaning up their mess and his unused bed roll, he let his thoughts drift for a moment before coming back to reality again before handing her her bedroll back.  "It seems that way, yes.  I won’t complain though.“  Not yet anyway, not until it hurts.  He’d been so careful too, trying to avoid this very situation he was getting himself into.

"I should be fine thank you.”  He smiled, and eventually they were both on horse back together again, but this time she seemed permanently pushed back against him because of the position of the saddle– this might get awkward.
