The Legend of the Unicorn Wizard

"Thank you…" she whispered softly as she watched Sherlock suck down the water. She filled her own canteen with water and set it aside carefully, taking the saddle off the beast and brushing him down quick and firmly before pulling her hair back and kicking out her own bed roll, throwing her cloak around her shoulders once more. "That poor monster has had to carry the both of us all day, I can imagine he’s ready for a rest." she said to him, nodding to the horse before looking back over to him and nodding with a smile.

She sat down nearby after gathering a good amount of firewood, digging a pit out carefully and letting him ignite it. It was much easier then trying to catch a spark herself, and if he didn’t mind. Neither did she. It was much colder here in the higher mountains and she tuckered down in her cloak, her shoulders hunched up. “I agree, though I must admit, I do not miss the cold air that seems to linger so north in the mountains.” She muttered with a bitter shiver.

“Yes, I think we could all use a rest though, it’s certainly been a long day.”  He laughed a bit and ran his long fingers through his wild and out of control hair.  When he lit the fire, he sighed and watched the sun set the rest of the way.  "This time with you has been fun though, and I really have enjoyed my teasing you, your highness.“  There went that grin again when he looked back at her, he just felt so full of himself about it, and he wasn’t quite sure why.  It was especially confusing since he usually didn’t get a big head about things like that.

He hears her complain about the cold though, and he does feel a little bad for that.  Here she was all cold and then there he was, not finding anything discomforting about it.  Snatching up his tattered cloak, he rose to his feet only to plop down next to her and wrap his own cloak around her shoulders, "It may only seemed like weathered rags, but this should do well in keeping you warm, Your Majesty.”  Resting his hand on either of his shoulders, he whispered a few more things enchanting his cloak to keep her a bit more warm.
